11 They put everyone there to death; no one was left alive, and the city was burned.

12 Joshua captured all these cities and their kings, putting everyone to death, just as Moses, the Lord's servant, had commanded. 13 However, the Israelites did not burn any of the cities built on mounds, except Hazor, which Joshua did burn.

11 Everyone in it they put to the sword. They totally destroyed[a] them,(A) not sparing anyone that breathed,(B) and he burned(C) Hazor itself.

12 Joshua took all these royal cities and their kings and put them to the sword. He totally destroyed them, as Moses the servant of the Lord had commanded.(D) 13 Yet Israel did not burn any of the cities built on their mounds—except Hazor, which Joshua burned.
