8 And Jehovah said unto Joshua, Fear them not: for I have delivered them into thy hands; there shall not a man of them stand before thee. 9 Joshua therefore came upon them suddenly; for he went up from Gilgal all the night. 10 And Jehovah discomfited them before Israel, and he slew them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and chased them by the way of the ascent of Beth-horon, and smote them to Azekah, and unto Makkedah.

8 The Lord said to Joshua, “Do not be afraid(A) of them; I have given them into your hand.(B) Not one of them will be able to withstand you.”(C)
9 After an all-night march from Gilgal, Joshua took them by surprise. 10 The Lord threw them into confusion(D) before Israel,(E) so Joshua and the Israelites defeated them completely at Gibeon.(F) Israel pursued them along the road going up to Beth Horon(G) and cut them down all the way to Azekah(H) and Makkedah.(I)
