New English Translation
34 Joshua and all Israel marched from Lachish to Eglon. They deployed troops[a] and fought against it. 35 That day they captured it and put the sword to all who lived there. That day they[b] annihilated it just as they had done to Lachish.
36 Joshua and all Israel marched up from Eglon to Hebron and fought against it.

34 Then Joshua and all Israel with him moved on from Lachish to Eglon;(A) they took up positions against it and attacked it. 35 They captured it that same day and put it to the sword and totally destroyed everyone in it, just as they had done to Lachish.
36 Then Joshua and all Israel with him went up from Eglon to Hebron(B) and attacked it.
