6 “Joshua, be strong and brave! You must lead these people so they can take their land. This is the land I promised their fathers I would give them. 7 Be strong and brave. Be sure to obey all the teachings my servant Moses gave you. If you follow them exactly, you will be successful in everything you do. 8 Always remember what is written in the Book of the Teachings. Study it day and night. Then you will be sure to obey everything that is written there. If you do this, you will be wise and successful in everything.

6 Be strong(A) and courageous,(B) because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors(C) to give them.
7 “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey(D) all the law(E) my servant Moses(F) gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left,(G) that you may be successful wherever you go.(H) 8 Keep this Book of the Law(I) always on your lips;(J) meditate(K) on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.(L)
