Jonah 2:3-5

3 When you threw me into the depths,(A)
into the heart of the seas,(B)
the current[a] overcame me.
All your breakers and your billows swept over me.(C)
4 And I said, “I have been banished(D)
from your sight,(E)
yet I will look[b] once more
toward your holy temple.”(F)
5 The water engulfed me up to the neck;[c](G)
the watery depths overcame me;
seaweed was wrapped around my head.(H)
