39 [a]Then Jesus said, “I came into this world for judgment, so that those who do not see might see, and those who do see might become blind.”(A)
40 Some of the Pharisees who were with him heard this and said to him, “Surely we are not also blind, are we?”(B) 41 Jesus said to them, “If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you are saying, ‘We see,’ so your sin remains.(C)

New International Version
39 Jesus said,[a] “For judgment(A) I have come into this world,(B) so that the blind will see(C) and those who see will become blind.”(D)
40 Some Pharisees who were with him heard him say this and asked, “What? Are we blind too?”(E)
41 Jesus said, “If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin; but now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains.(F)
