New Matthew Bible
4 and said to him, Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, even in the act. 5 Moses in the law commanded us that such should be stoned. What therefore do you say?
6 And they said this to bait him, to have something to accuse him of.
Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground.

4 and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women.(A) Now what do you say?” 6 They were using this question as a trap,(B) in order to have a basis for accusing him.(C)
But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger.
