36 Therefore, if the Son sets you free, you really will be free. 37 I know you are descendants[a] of Abraham,(A) but you are trying to kill Me because My word[b] is not welcome among you. 38 I speak what I have seen(B) in the presence of the Father;[c](C) therefore, you do what you have heard from your father.”

36 So if the Son sets you free,(A) you will be free indeed. 37 I know that you are Abraham’s descendants. Yet you are looking for a way to kill me,(B) because you have no room for my word. 38 I am telling you what I have seen in the Father’s presence,(C) and you are doing what you have heard from your father.[a]”(D)
