36 Therefore, if the Son makes you free, you really will be free. 37 I know that you are Abraham’s children, yet you want to kill me because you don’t welcome my teaching. 38 I’m telling you what I’ve seen when I am with the Father, but you are doing what you’ve heard from your father.”

36 So if the Son sets you free,(A) you will be free indeed. 37 I know that you are Abraham’s descendants. Yet you are looking for a way to kill me,(B) because you have no room for my word. 38 I am telling you what I have seen in the Father’s presence,(C) and you are doing what you have heard from your father.[a]”(D)
