³⁵ “I am^(A) the bread of life,” Jesus told them. “No one who comes to Me^(B) will ever be hungry,^(C) and no one who believes in Me^(D) will ever be thirsty^(E) again.

The Promise of the Spirit

³⁷ On the last and most important day of the festival,^(A) Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone is thirsty, he should come to Me^[a](B) and drink!^(C)

¹¹ Up to the present hour we are both hungry and thirsty; we are poorly clothed, roughly treated, homeless;

⁶ And He said to me, “It is done!^(A) I am the Alpha and the Omega,^(B) the Beginning and the End.^(C) I will give water as a gift to the thirsty^(D) from the spring of life.^(E)
