20 But Jesus said to them, ‘It is I. Do not be afraid.’ 21 So the disciples were happy to let Jesus get into the boat. Immediately, the boat came to the shore where they wanted to be.

The crowd looks for Jesus

22 The crowd of people had stayed on the other side of the lake. The next day, they saw that the only boat had gone. They knew that Jesus' disciples had taken it. They also knew that Jesus had not gone with his disciples.

22 The next day the crowd that had stayed on the opposite shore of the lake(B) realized that only one boat had been there, and that Jesus had not entered it with his disciples, but that they had gone away alone.(C)
