20 But he said to them, “It is I.[a](A) Don’t be afraid.” 21 Then they were willing to take him on board, and at once the boat was at the shore where they were heading.

22 The next day, the crowd that had stayed on the other side of the sea saw there had been only one boat.[b](B) They also saw that Jesus had not boarded the boat with his disciples, but that his disciples had gone off alone.

22 The next day the crowd that had stayed on the opposite shore of the lake(B) realized that only one boat had been there, and that Jesus had not entered it with his disciples, but that they had gone away alone.(C)
