Good News Translation
37 (A)And the Father, who sent me, also testifies on my behalf. You have never heard his voice or seen his face, 38 and you do not keep his message in your hearts, for you do not believe in the one whom he sent. 39 (B)You study the Scriptures, because you think that in them you will find eternal life. And these very Scriptures speak about me!

37 And the Father who sent me has himself testified concerning me.(A) You have never heard his voice nor seen his form,(B) 38 nor does his word dwell in you,(C) for you do not believe(D) the one he sent.(E) 39 You study[a] the Scriptures(F) diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life.(G) These are the very Scriptures that testify about me,(H)
