John 12:33-35
Living Bible
33 He said this to indicate how he was going to die.
34 “Die?” asked the crowd. “We understood that the Messiah would live forever and never die. Why are you saying he will die? What Messiah are you talking about?”
35 Jesus replied, “My light will shine out for you just a little while longer. Walk in it while you can, and go where you want to go before the darkness falls, for then it will be too late for you to find your way.

33 He said this to show the kind of death he was going to die.(A)
34 The crowd spoke up, “We have heard from the Law(B) that the Messiah will remain forever,(C) so how can you say, ‘The Son of Man(D) must be lifted up’?(E) Who is this ‘Son of Man’?”
35 Then Jesus told them, “You are going to have the light(F) just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light,(G) before darkness overtakes you.(H) Whoever walks in the dark does not know where they are going.
