John 12:14-16
Contemporary English Version
14 Jesus found a donkey and rode on it, just as the Scriptures say,
15 (A) “People of Jerusalem,
don't be afraid!
Your King is now coming,
and he is riding
on a donkey.”
16 At first, Jesus' disciples did not understand. But after he had been given his glory,[a] they remembered all this. Everything had happened exactly as the Scriptures said it would.

14 Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, as it is written:
16 At first his disciples did not understand all this.(B) Only after Jesus was glorified(C) did they realize that these things had been written about him and that these things had been done to him.
