²³ Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”

²⁴ Martha answered, “I know he will rise again in the resurrection^(A) at the last day.”^(B)

²⁵ Jesus said to her, “I am^(C) the resurrection and the life.^(D) The one who believes^(E) in me will live, even though they die; ²⁶ and whoever lives by believing^(F) in me will never die.^(G) Do you believe this?”

² They were greatly disturbed because the apostles were teaching the people, proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection of the dead.^(A)

⁵ (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection.^{(A) 6} Blessed^(B) and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death^(C) has no power over them, but they will be priests^(D) of God and of Christ and will reign with him^(E) for a thousand years.
