New Testament for Everyone
28 This took place in Bethany beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing.
The lamb and the spirit
29 The next day, John saw Jesus coming towards him.
“Look!” he said. “There’s God’s lamb! He’s the one who takes away the world’s sin! 30 He’s the one I was speaking about when I said, ‘There’s a man coming after me who ranks ahead of me, because he was before me!’

John Testifies About Jesus
29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God,(B) who takes away the sin of the world!(C) 30 This is the one I meant when I said, ‘A man who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’(D)
