^11 (A)The Lord utters his voice
    before ^(B)his army,
for his camp is exceedingly great;
    ^(C)he who executes his word is powerful.
^(D)For the day of the Lord is ^(E)great and very awesome;
    ^(F)who can endure it?

¹² “Yet even now,” declares the Lord,
    ^(G)“return to me with all your heart,
^(H)with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning;
¹³     and ^(I)rend your hearts and not ^(J)your garments.”
Return to the Lord your God,
    ^(K)for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love;
    ^(L)and he relents over disaster.
