¹⁰ Therefore ^(A)snares surround you,
And sudden ^(B)dread terrifies you,

¹⁵ The nations have sunk down ^(A)in the pit which they have made;
In the ^(B)net which they hid, their own foot has been caught.

⁸ Let ^(A)destruction, which he does not know, come upon him,
And ^(B)let the net, which he hid, catch him;
Let him fall into it in ^(C)destruction.

^17 (A)Panic and pit and pitfall
Are upon you, O inhabitant of the earth.
¹⁸ Then it will be that he who flees the sound of panic will fall into the pit,
And he who ^[a]climbs out of the pit will be caught in the pitfall;
For the ^(B)windows ^[b]above are opened, and the ^(C)foundations of the earth quake.
