who provides us with songs in the night,^(B)

¹⁰But no one says, ‘Where is God my Maker,^(A)
who gives songs^(B) in the night,^(C)

¹⁰But none saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night;

⁶At night I remember my music;
I meditate in my heart, and my spirit ponders.^(A)

⁶I remembered my songs in the night.
My heart meditated and my spirit asked:

⁶I call to remembrance my song in the night: I commune with mine own heart: and my spirit made diligent search.
