¹⁶^(A)Then He opens the ears of men,
And seals their instruction.

¹⁶he may speak^(A) in their ears
and terrify them^(B) with warnings,^(C)

¹⁵He delivers the poor in their affliction,
And opens their ears in oppression.

¹⁵But those who suffer^(A) he delivers in their suffering;^(B)
he speaks^(C) to them in their affliction.^(D)
