¹⁹ My roots will reach to the water,^(A)
    and the dew will lie all night on my branches.^(B)

¹² A king’s rage is like the roar of a lion,^(A)
    but his favor is like dew^(B) on the grass.^(C)

⁴ This is what the Lord says to me:
    “I will remain quiet^(A) and will look on from my dwelling place,^(B)
like shimmering heat in the sunshine,^(C)
    like a cloud of dew^(D) in the heat of harvest.”

¹⁹ But your dead^(A) will live, Lord;
    their bodies will rise—
let those who dwell in the dust^(B)
    wake up and shout for joy—
your dew^(C) is like the dew of the morning;
    the earth will give birth to her dead.^(D)

⁸ “You heavens above, rain^(A) down my righteousness;^(B)
    let the clouds shower it down.
Let the earth open wide,
    let salvation^(C) spring up,
let righteousness flourish with it;
    I, the Lord, have created it.
