²¹ For what do they care about the families they leave behind^(A)
    when their allotted months^(B) come to an end?^(C)

⁵ For the living know that they will die,
    but the dead know nothing;^(A)
they have no further reward,
    and even their name^(B) is forgotten.^(C)

    though Abraham does not know us
