Job 2:2-4
Contemporary English Version
2 and the Lord asked, “Satan, where have you been?”
Satan replied, “I have been going all over the earth.”
3 Then the Lord asked, “What do you think of my servant Job? No one on earth is like him—he is a truly good person, who respects me and refuses to do evil. And he hasn't changed, even though you persuaded me to destroy him for no reason.”
4 Satan answered, “There's no pain like your own.[a] People will do anything to stay alive.

New International Version
2 And the Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from?”
Satan answered the Lord, “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.”(A)
3 Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.(B) And he still maintains his integrity,(C) though you incited me against him to ruin him without any reason.”(D)
4 “Skin for skin!” Satan replied. “A man will give all he has(E) for his own life.
