¹⁹^(A)He has neither son nor posterity among his people,
Nor any remaining in his dwellings.

¹⁹He has no offspring^(A) or descendants^(B) among his people,
no survivor^(C) where once he lived.^(D)

²⁸For the Lord loves justice,
And does not forsake His saints;
They are preserved forever,
But the descendants of the wicked shall be cut off.

²⁸For the Lord loves the just
and will not forsake his faithful ones.^(A)

Wrongdoers will be completely destroyed^[a];
the offspring of the wicked will perish.^(B)
