³But I desire to speak to the Almighty^(A)
and to argue my case with God.^(B)

³Surely I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to reason with God.

⁴I would state my case^(A) before him
and fill my mouth with arguments.^(B)

⁴I would order my cause before him, and fill my mouth with arguments.

¹⁹“Tell us what we should say to him;^(A)
we cannot draw up our case^(B) because of our darkness.^(C)
