³ But I would speak to the Almighty,^[a]
    and I desire to argue my case with God.^(A)

²⁷ Like a cage full of birds,
    their houses are full of treachery;
therefore they have become great and rich;^(A)

²⁸     they have grown fat and sleek.
They know no limits in deeds of wickedness;
    they do not judge with justice
the cause of the orphan, to make it prosper,
    and they do not defend the rights of the needy.^(A)

²⁰ But you, O Lord of hosts, who judge righteously,
    who try the heart and the mind,
let me see your retribution upon them,
    for to you I have committed my cause.^(A)

¹¹ But the Lord is with me like a terrifying warrior;
    therefore my persecutors will stumble,
    and they will not prevail.
They will be greatly shamed,
    for they will not succeed.
Their eternal dishonor
    will never be forgotten.^(A)
