¹³ When I would gather them, declares the Lord,
    there are ^(A)no grapes on the vine,
    ^(B)nor figs on the fig tree;
^(C)even the leaves are withered,
    and what I gave them has passed away from them.”^[a]

^18 (A)Neither their silver nor their gold
    shall be able to deliver them
    on the day of the wrath of the Lord.
^(B)In the fire of his jealousy,
    ^(C)all the earth shall be consumed;
^(D)for a full and sudden end
    he will make of all the inhabitants of the earth.
