¹⁷ He said to me, “Have you seen this, son of man? Is it a trivial matter for the people of Judah to do the detestable things^(A) they are doing here? Must they also fill the land with violence^(B) and continually arouse my anger?^(C) Look at them putting the branch to their nose!

¹⁹ Say to the people of the land: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says about those living in Jerusalem and in the land of Israel: They will eat their food in anxiety and drink their water in despair, for their land will be stripped of everything^(A) in it because of the violence of all who live there.^(B)

⁹ “‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: You have gone far enough, princes of Israel! Give up your violence and oppression^(A) and do what is just and right.^(B) Stop dispossessing my people, declares the Sovereign Lord.
