^(B)The Lord has stirred up the spirit of the kings of ^(C)the Medes, because ^(D)his purpose concerning Babylon is to destroy it, ^(E)for that is the vengeance of the Lord, the vengeance for ^(F)his temple.

⁴⁵ Therefore hear ^(A)the plan that the Lord has made against Babylon, ^(B)and the purposes that he has formed against the land of the Chaldeans: ^(C)Surely the little ones of their flock shall be dragged away; surely their fold shall be appalled at their fate.
