47 The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah the prophet ^(A)concerning the Philistines, before Pharaoh struck down ^(B)Gaza.

²⁰ and ^(A)all the mixed tribes among them; all the kings of ^(B)the land of Uz and all the kings of ^(C)the land of the Philistines (^(D)Ashkelon, ^(E)Gaza, Ekron, and the remnant of ^(F)Ashdod);

Prophecy Against Philistia

¹⁵ “Thus says the Lord God: Because ^(A)the Philistines ^(B)acted revengefully and took vengeance ^(C)with malice of soul to destroy in never-ending enmity, ¹⁶ therefore thus says the Lord God, ^(D)Behold, I will stretch out my hand against the Philistines, and I will cut off ^(E)the Cherethites and destroy the rest of the seacoast.
