^14 (A)I will punish you according to ^(B)the fruit of your deeds,
declares the Lord;
    ^(C)I will kindle a fire in her forest,
    ^(D)and it shall devour all that is round her.”

²⁷ And ^(A)I will kindle a fire in the wall of ^(B)Damascus,
    and it shall devour the strongholds of ^(C)Ben-hadad.”

^32 (A)The proud one shall stumble and fall,
    with none to raise him up,
^(B)and I will kindle a fire in his cities,
    and it will devour all that is round him.

^11 (A)The Lord gave full vent to his wrath;
    he poured out his hot anger,
and ^(B)he kindled a fire in Zion
    that consumed its foundations.

¹⁴ So I will kindle a fire in the wall of ^(A)Rabbah,
    ^(B)and it shall devour her strongholds,
with shouting on the day of battle,
    ^(C)with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind;
