¹¹“I will make Jerusalem ^(A)a heap of ruins, ^(B)a den of jackals.
I will make the cities of Judah desolate, without an inhabitant.”

New International Version

¹¹“I will make Jerusalem a heap^(A) of ruins,
a haunt of jackals;^(B)
and I will lay waste the towns of Judah^(C)
so no one can live there.”^(D)

¹⁶To make their land ^(A)desolate and a perpetual ^(B)hissing;
Everyone who passes by it will be astonished
And shake his head.

¹⁶Their land will be an object of horror^(A)
and of lasting scorn;^(B)
all who pass by will be appalled^(C)
and will shake their heads.^(D)
