Jeremiah 7:9-11

9 “Do you steal, murder, commit adultery, swear falsely, burn incense to Baal, and follow other gods that you have not known?(A) 10 Then do you come and stand before Me in this house(B) called by My name and say, ‘We are delivered, so we can continue doing all these detestable acts’? 11 Has this house, which is called by My name, become a den of robbers(C) in your view? Yes, I too have seen it.”(D)

9 “‘Will you steal(A) and murder,(B) commit adultery(C) and perjury,[a](D) burn incense to Baal(E) and follow other gods(F) you have not known, 10 and then come and stand(G) before me in this house,(H) which bears my Name, and say, “We are safe”—safe to do all these detestable things?(I) 11 Has this house,(J) which bears my Name, become a den of robbers(K) to you? But I have been watching!(L) declares the Lord.

You will see even more detestable things.”
