⁹ Will you steal, murder, and commit adultery and swear while lying, and ^(A)burn incense to Baal and walk after ^(B)other gods that you have not known,

¹² Then the cities of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem will ^(A)go and cry to the gods to whom they burn incense, but they surely will not save them in the time of their calamity.

¹⁷ Yahweh of hosts, who ^(A)planted you, has ^(B)spoken forth evil against you because of the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have ^[a]done to provoke Me to anger by ^(C)burning incense to Baal.

^3 (A)because of their evil which they did so as to ^(B)provoke Me to anger by continuing to ^(C)burn incense and to ^(D)serve other gods whom they had not known, neither they, you, nor your fathers.
