Jeremiah 6:14-16
American Standard Version
14 They have healed also the [a]hurt of [b]my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace. 15 [c]Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall; at the time that I visit them they shall [d]be cast down, saith Jehovah.
16 Thus saith Jehovah, Stand ye in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way; and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls: but they said, We will not walk therein.

Jeremiah 6:14-16
New International Version
14 They dress the wound of my people
as though it were not serious.
‘Peace, peace,’ they say,
when there is no peace.(A)
15 Are they ashamed of their detestable conduct?
No, they have no shame at all;
they do not even know how to blush.(B)
So they will fall among the fallen;
they will be brought down when I punish(C) them,”
says the Lord.
16 This is what the Lord says:
