Destruction of Jerusalem. 12 On the tenth day of the fifth month, this was in the nineteenth year[a] of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan, captain of the bodyguard, came to Jerusalem as the representative of the king of Babylon. 13 He burned the house of the Lord, the palace of the king, and all the houses of Jerusalem; every large building he destroyed with fire. 14 Then the Chaldean troops with the captain of the guard tore down all the walls that surrounded Jerusalem.

12 On the tenth day of the fifth(A) month, in the nineteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan(B) commander of the imperial guard, who served the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem. 13 He set fire(C) to the temple(D) of the Lord, the royal palace and all the houses(E) of Jerusalem. Every important building he burned down. 14 The whole Babylonian army, under the commander of the imperial guard, broke down all the walls(F) around Jerusalem.

12 Now in the fifth month, in the tenth day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, which served the king of Babylon, into Jerusalem,

13 And burned the house of the Lord, and the king's house; and all the houses of Jerusalem, and all the houses of the great men, burned he with fire:

14 And all the army of the Chaldeans, that were with the captain of the guard, brake down all the walls of Jerusalem round about.
