23 How the (A)hammer of the whole earth
Has been cut in pieces and broken!
How Babylon has become
An object of horror among the nations!
24 I (B)set a snare for you, and you were also (C)caught, O Babylon,
But you yourself did not know;
You have been found and also seized
Because you have engaged in (D)conflict with Yahweh.”
25 Yahweh has opened His armory
And has brought forth the (E)weapons of His indignation,
For it is a (F)work of Lord Yahweh of hosts
In the land of the Chaldeans.

23 How broken and shattered
is the hammer(A) of the whole earth!(B)
How desolate(C) is Babylon
among the nations!
24 I set a trap(D) for you, Babylon,
and you were caught before you knew it;
you were found and captured(E)
because you opposed(F) the Lord.
25 The Lord has opened his arsenal
and brought out the weapons(G) of his wrath,
for the Sovereign Lord Almighty has work to do
in the land of the Babylonians.(H)
