13 Because of the wrath of the Lord
She shall not be inhabited,
(A)But she shall be wholly desolate.
(B)Everyone who goes by Babylon shall be horrified
And hiss at all her plagues.
14 “Put(C) yourselves in array against Babylon all around,
All you who bend the bow;
Shoot at her, spare no arrows,
For she has sinned against the Lord.
15 Shout against her all around;
She has (D)given her hand,
Her foundations have fallen,
(E)Her walls are thrown down;
For (F)it is the vengeance of the Lord.
Take vengeance on her.
As she has done, so do to her.

13 Because of the Lord’s anger she will not be inhabited
but will be completely desolate.(A)
All who pass Babylon will be appalled;(B)
they will scoff(C) because of all her wounds.(D)
14 “Take up your positions around Babylon,
all you who draw the bow.(E)
Shoot at her! Spare no arrows,(F)
for she has sinned against the Lord.
15 Shout(G) against her on every side!
She surrenders, her towers fall,
her walls(H) are torn down.
Since this is the vengeance(I) of the Lord,
take vengeance on her;
do to her(J) as she has done to others.(K)
