¹² They have belied the Lord, and said, It is not he; neither shall evil come upon us; neither shall we see sword nor famine:

¹⁷ They say still unto them that despise me, The Lord hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.

³⁸ And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

³ Ye that put far away the evil day, and cause the seat of violence to come near;
