Jeremiah 48:5-7

5 Up the ascent of Luhith
they go weeping;
At the descent to Horonaim
they hear cries of anguish:
6 “Flee, save your lives!
Be like a wild donkey in the wilderness!”
7 Because you trusted in your works and your treasures,
you also shall be captured.
Chemosh[a] shall go into exile,
his priests and princes with him.(A)

weeping bitterly as they go;
on the road down to Horonaim(B)
anguished cries over the destruction are heard.
6 Flee!(C) Run for your lives;
become like a bush[a] in the desert.(D)
7 Since you trust in your deeds and riches,(E)
you too will be taken captive,
and Chemosh(F) will go into exile,(G)
together with his priests and officials.(H)
