41 [a]Kerioth is taken, and the strongholds are seized, and the heart of the mighty men of Moab at that day shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs. 42 And Moab shall be destroyed from being a people, because he hath magnified himself against Jehovah. 43 Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of Moab, saith Jehovah.

41 Kerioth[a](A) will be captured
and the strongholds taken.
In that day the hearts of Moab’s warriors(B)
will be like the heart of a woman in labor.(C)
42 Moab will be destroyed(D) as a nation(E)
because she defied(F) the Lord.
43 Terror(G) and pit and snare(H) await you,
you people of Moab,”
declares the Lord.
