⁴ Again and again^(A) I sent my servants the prophets,^(B) who said, ‘Do not do this detestable^(C) thing that I hate!’ ⁵ But they did not listen or pay attention;^(D) they did not turn from their wickedness^(E) or stop burning incense^(F) to other gods.^{(G) 6} Therefore, my fierce anger was poured out;^(H) it raged against the towns of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem and made them the desolate ruins^(I) they are today.
