21 “The offering that you made, smoke offerings in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, you, and your ancestors,[a] your kings, and your officials, and the people of the land, did not Yahweh remember them, and did it not come to his mind?[b] 22 And Yahweh was no longer able to bear[c] it, because of[d] the evil of your deeds, because of[e] the detestable things that you committed. Thus your land became as a site of ruins, and as a horror, and as a curse, without[f] inhabitants, as it is this day. 23 Because of[g] the fact that you made smoke offerings, and that you sinned against Yahweh, and you did not listen to the voice of Yahweh, and you have not walked in his law, and in his statute, and in his legal provisions, therefore[h] this disaster has happened to you, as it is this day.”

21 “Did not the Lord remember(A) and call to mind the incense(B) burned in the towns of Judah and the streets of Jerusalem(C) by you and your ancestors,(D) your kings and your officials and the people of the land?(E) 22 When the Lord could no longer endure(F) your wicked actions and the detestable things you did, your land became a curse(G) and a desolate waste(H) without inhabitants, as it is today.(I) 23 Because you have burned incense and have sinned against the Lord and have not obeyed him or followed(J) his law or his decrees(K) or his stipulations, this disaster(L) has come upon you, as you now see.”(M)
