Johanan Rescues the People
11 But Johanan the son of Kareah and all the (A)commanders of the military forces that were with him heard of all the evil that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had done. 12 So they took all the men and went to (B)fight with Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, and they found him by the (C)great [a]pool that is in Gibeon. 13 Now it happened as soon as all the people who were with Ishmael saw Johanan the son of Kareah and all the commanders of the military forces that were with him, they were glad.

11 When Johanan(A) son of Kareah and all the army officers who were with him heard about all the crimes Ishmael son of Nethaniah had committed, 12 they took all their men and went to fight(B) Ishmael son of Nethaniah. They caught up with him near the great pool(C) in Gibeon. 13 When all the people(D) Ishmael had with him saw Johanan son of Kareah and the army officers who were with him, they were glad.
