9 Now in the (A)fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, in the (B)ninth month, all the people in Jerusalem and all the people who (C)came from the cities of Judah to Jerusalem proclaimed a (D)fast before the Lord. 10 Then Baruch read from the book the words of Jeremiah in the house of the Lord in the (E)chamber of (F)Gemariah the son of Shaphan the (G)scribe, in the upper court, at the (H)entry of the New Gate of the Lord’s house, to all the people.
11 Now when (I)Micaiah the son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, had heard all the words of the Lord from the book,

9 In the ninth month(A) of the fifth year of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, a time of fasting(B) before the Lord was proclaimed for all the people in Jerusalem and those who had come from the towns of Judah. 10 From the room of Gemariah(C) son of Shaphan(D) the secretary,(E) which was in the upper courtyard at the entrance of the New Gate(F) of the temple, Baruch read to all the people at the Lord’s temple the words of Jeremiah from the scroll.
11 When Micaiah son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, heard all the words of the Lord from the scroll,
