Jeremiah 31:35-37

35 Thus saith the Lord, which giveth [a]the sun for a light to the day, and the courses of the moon and of the stars for a light to the night, which breaketh the sea, when the waves thereof roar: his Name is the Lord of hosts.
36 If these ordinances depart out of my sight, saith the Lord, then shall the seed of Israel cease from being a nation before me, forever.
37 Thus saith the Lord, If the heavens can be measured, [b]or the foundations of the earth be searched out beneath, then will I cast off all the seed of Israel, for all that they have done, saith the Lord.

35 This is what the Lord says,
he who appoints(A) the sun
to shine by day,
who decrees the moon and stars
to shine by night,(B)
who stirs up the sea(C)
so that its waves roar(D)—
the Lord Almighty is his name:(E)
36 “Only if these decrees(F) vanish from my sight,”
declares the Lord,
“will Israel(G) ever cease
being a nation before me.”
37 This is what the Lord says:
