9 She treated it all so lightly—to her it was nothing at all that she should worship idols made of wood and stone. And so the land was greatly polluted and defiled. 10 Then, afterwards, this faithless one “returned” to me, but her “sorrow” was only faked, the Lord God says. 11 In fact, faithless Israel is less guilty than treacherous Judah!

9 Because Israel’s immorality mattered so little to her, she defiled the land(A) and committed adultery(B) with stone(C) and wood.(D) 10 In spite of all this, her unfaithful sister Judah did not return(E) to me with all her heart, but only in pretense,(F)” declares the Lord.(G)
11 The Lord said to me, “Faithless Israel is more righteous(H) than unfaithful(I) Judah.(J)
