7 But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare. 8 For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Do not let the prophets and the diviners who are among you deceive you, and do not listen to the dreams that they dream,[a] 9 for it is a lie that they are prophesying to you in my name; I did not send them, says the Lord.

7 Also, seek(A) the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray(B) to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.” 8 Yes, this is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: “Do not let the prophets(C) and diviners among you deceive(D) you. Do not listen to the dreams(E) you encourage them to have.(F) 9 They are prophesying lies(G) to you in my name. I have not sent(H) them,” declares the Lord.
