Jeremiah 29:31-32
Good News Translation
31-32 to send to all the prisoners in Babylon this message about Shemaiah: “I, the Lord, will punish Shemaiah and all of his descendants. I did not send him, but he spoke to you as if he were a prophet, and he made you believe lies. He will have no descendants among you. He will not live to see the good things that I am going to do for my people, because he told them to rebel against me. I, the Lord, have spoken.”

New International Version
31 “Send this message to all the exiles: ‘This is what the Lord says about Shemaiah(A) the Nehelamite: Because Shemaiah has prophesied to you, even though I did not send(B) him, and has persuaded you to trust in lies, 32 this is what the Lord says: I will surely punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his descendants.(C) He will have no one left among this people, nor will he see the good(D) things I will do for my people, declares the Lord, because he has preached rebellion(E) against me.’”
